DO NOT MISS this weekend's production of St. Lucie Ballet's production of Coppelia at the lyric Theatre in Stuart. Florida. This magical and fun show features incredible guest artists Marshall Ian Levin as Dr. Coppelius, Reinhard von Rabenau as Franz, Liala Lezama as Swanilda, beautiful sets and costumes and of course, incredible dancing. This is a great event to bring the entire family!

St. Lucie Ballet has certainly been busy with competitions, and performances with performances with Cuban Classical Ballet of Miami founded by Pedro Pablo Peña. Performances included excerpts from The Little Humpbacked Horse and Paquita among other works by CCBM. The dancers have also been busy rehearsing for the huge performance of Coppelia on May 19 at the Lyric Theatre in Stuart.

Congratulations to the five St. Lucie Ballet dancers who performed and competed at American Dance Competition this past week. Emma Butterworth received Gold for two Classical pieces and one contemporary placing Top 25 in Junior Category. Isabella McCool received Gold for her two classical and placed Top 15 in Primary category. Aleana Perez Gold for her two Classical pieces in Junior Category, half tuition Scholarship to Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Intensive Summer Program and half tuition scholarship to Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Schools Pre Profession al Program for school year 2018/19. Kara Castillo received Gold for her classical piece in Junior category and half tuition scholarship for Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive. Dylan Wills received Silver for her classical and a Scholarship to Next Generation Ballet and acceptance at Sarasota Ballet International Summer Intensive.

All students and staff applaud them on representing their ballet school at your first time at American Dance Competition. The level is high, two huge junior groups, and a very long week, with Master classes throughout, Saturday through Thursday. They all did very well.

Thank you Callan Bergmann for a wonderful Master class. St Lucie Ballet students in Intermediate and Advanced Levels, plus L.P.A. musical theater students took advantage of Mr. Bergmann’s t alents. This event was brought to the community by Treasure Coast Ballet.

Two more spots available for Callan Bergmann’s Master Class this Sunday March 18, 2018! Dancers from all over are welcome.

His Master Class will include full warm-up which includes Ballet, Jazz and Modern techniques, and stretching and conditioning. Students will learn actual choreography from Broadway shows.

St. Lucie Ballet will be moving into a larger more modern space in the same neighborhood in Port St. Lucie. It will still be easily accessible from the Turnpike, I-95, or US-1 just off of Bayshore Blvd. Estimated opening of the new space will be this Summer of 2018. There are many plans for more classes and programs which will help youth in the local community reach their dancing goals.

January 26 through 28, 2018, five St. Lucie Ballet students; Adreana Piekara, Sofia Bennett, Isabella McCool, Emma Butterworth and Dylan Wills, attended New York City Dance Alliance held at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida.

At the Friday Competition the following prizes were awarded:
Adreana Piekara earned High Gold, Outstanding costume, excellent expression.
Isabella McCool was awarded Platinum, Excellent Technique, Outstanding stage presence for Nalilia. She also placed in Fifth Minis, Platinum, Outstanding Control, and Beautiful Lines Award for Paquita. She was also awarded a scholarship to next year’s competition.
Adreana Piekara and Sofia Bennett waon Gold Outstanding Precision for Chinese Duet.
Emma Butterworth was awarded High Gold, Outstanding Stage presence for Paquita. She also placeed Sixth Place Juniors, Platinum, Outstanding Technique. Junior Outstanding Dancer runner up and Scholarship to NYC Finals for Idlewild.
Dylan Wills placed 11th Place Teen, Platinum, Outstanding Costume, Outstanding Technique for Pharaoh's Daughter.

Saturday and Sunday was full of Master Classes with notable teachers such as Joshua Bergasse, Jason Luks, Andy Pellick,, Suzi Taylor, Taja Riley, Kaitlynn Edgar, and so many more in all styles of dance including Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap and Lyrical.

The competition season if off to a great start! St. Lucie Ballet students participated at Youth America Grand Prix in Atlanta this past weekend
...And once again, placed very well!

Isabella McCool placed in the Top 12 in Pre-Competitive for both Classical and Contemporary. Alyssa Hurtado Junior placed in the Top 12 in Classical. Emma Butterworth, Alyssa Hurtado, Aleana Perez, Isabella McCool placed in the Top 6 Ensemble! Some have been invited to the New York Finals.

Congratulations to all the dancers! Mr. and Mrs. Corrales and the staff of St. Lucie Ballet are very proud of the dancer’s accomplishments and their hard work and dedication.

The Nutcracker Opens at the Lyric Theatre in Downtown Stuart TODAY for a Matinee and evening performance!

St. Lucie Ballet danced performance of a shortened version of The Nutcracker at the ARC on the 15th and last night at the Florida Oceanographic Center.

The full-length version of The Nutcracker opens tomorrow night at the Lyric Theatre in Downtown Stuart!

St. Lucie Ballet will welcome professional guest artists for the next St. Lucie Ballet's The Nutcracker Performances at The Lyric Theatre in Stuart this coming December 23:
Emily Reed and Sugarplum, Sam Neale as her Cavalier, both dancers from Minnesota Ballet, Marshall Ian Levin as Heir Drosselmeyer, and Tyveze Littlejohn as Arabian from Ballet Palm Beach.

It was magic yesterday at the Sunrise Theatre as St. Lucie Ballet performed The Nutcracker. Thank you to the volunteers that work pre-show, during, and post show with who with little to no sleep, help make this wonderful production possible.  Besides the evening performance, there
was a FREE morning show for children which is always so magical. 

Thank you Claudia Lezcano and Kevin Hernandez for their virtuosity and elegance as Sugarplum, Cavalier and Snow Cavalier. Thank you Tyveze Littlejohn for his gorgeous performance of Arabian. A special St. Lucie Ballet's own Reinhard von Rabenau for coaching and helping with the production even after his injury.

There are still TWO more huge performances at the Lyric Theatre in Downtown Stuart on December 23, 2017 at 2 and 7:30 PM.

Over the past few weeks, St. Lucie Ballet has be gearing up for their annual production of The Nutcracker. Volunteers have been sewing and fitting costumes. The dancers have been rehearsing like crazy. There are special rehearsals with guest artist Sam Neil and others. 

Dancers have been performing and making several appearances at community events including The Sugarplum Run, WPSL Christmas Kids of St. Lucie County, Mini Nutcracker, Tradition’s Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and MORE! 

Tickets are still available for the full-length performances of The Nutcracker at the Sunrise Theatre and The Lyric Theatre. Don’t wait until the last minute!

Wednesday was Crazy Color Day. Dancers could wear whatever color they wanted in class for a donation of $2.00. This was to Benefit Treasure Coast Youth Ballet, the non-profit performance sector of St. Lucie Ballet. Over $100.00 was raised!

Students ages 7 up took an intensive 5 week program culminating in a spectacular end of summer performance presented by Treasure Coast Youth Ballet at Savannah Club Theater in Port St. Lucie.

Performance for the Summer Intensive is July 28, 2017 at 5:30 pm. 
Students from St. Lucie Ballet’s Summer Intensive Program and special guest artists Reinhard Von Rabenau and Sam Neale from Minnesota Ballet have been working for six weeks to perform excerpts from some of the best classical ballet’s from the 17th-20th centuries. Students ages 7 through pre-professional age 16 will interpret variations and pas de duexs from ballet’s such as Paquita, Sleeping Beauty, Harlequinade and many more.

All students worked so hard the last two weeks. They are now having a well deserved break. Classes resume July 5. The date and location of the Summer Performance will be at the end of July with date and time TBA. Everyone will want to come out and see these marvelous young dancers!

We are so proud of St. Lucie Ballet dancers and younger students who demonstrated camaraderie and selflessness so that this wonderful production of Peter Pan can come to fruition.

The show was perfectly cast! Thank you to our special guest artists. Reinhard von Rabenau danced the role of the youthful and fun loving Peter Pan. He also created much of the witty, humorous, and teary eyed choreography. Marshal Ian Levin was a perfect Hook. It is always great to have them both share the stage and their wonderful talent with our dancers, and our audiences. 

Thank you to all the volunteers and parents who gave their time, resources and talents. Also, thank you to St. Lucie Ballet Staff who always bring the level of professionalism to the highest level!

St. Lucie Ballet staff, and students wish Alyssa Hurtado congratulations on her performance at today's Youth American Grand Prix New York Finals. Besides her great performance, she had some marvelous experiences while she was away including taking master class at Hunter College studios, warm up class at Steps on Broadway, and meeting world famous ballerina Misty Copeland!

Alyssa placed in the Top Twelve at YAGP in the Pre-competitive level and earned a scholarship to Summer Intensive at The Rock School for Dance Education. Congratulations.

We are so proud of the dancers courage, tenacity, and work ethic. Even to get up at four in the morning and do a warm up ballet class at 6 am. Bravo! We take our hats off to you.

We all want to thank the very special teacher/coaches at SLB, Rogelio Corrales, Lydia Oquendo, Reinhard Von Rabenau, Idael German, Janine Rivera, Emmanuella Dorcely, Nissa Kilman and Mindy Tsunoda.

Mr. and Mrs. Corrales always tell the dancers, they are only going to practice their craft, and work on getting more comfortable onstage. But it sure is nice to be acknowledged for their hard work and dedication. It's been a great few days!

Liala, Platinum for her variation and received First Place Senior! Macy High Gold for her variation. Sidney, Emma, Isabella, Alyssa and all placed top 20 plus all Platinum for their variations. Alyssa H. received 2nd Place Junior. Emma and Isabella received Platinum, and Third Place place for their duet.

It was a wonderful evening in Lakeland. Gypsies from Le Esmeralda received Platinum. Dancers are Haylynn, Aleana, Alyssa R, and Dylan. Then, another Platinum for Little Humpbacked Horse, plus first place for Teen Classic! Dancers, Aleana, Alyssa H, Liala, and Alyssa R.

On Friday, February 3, 2017: St. Lucie Ballet students will be performing at Christ Family Church at the Orange Blossom Mall in Ft. Pierce at 6:30 pm. They will be showcasing their various pieces which they will be taking to various competitions.

St. Lucie Ballet brings J.M. Barrie's beloved, and timeless story of Peter Pan for two performances to the charming and historical Lyric Theatre in downtown Stuart, Florida on May 13 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm.

The Ballet of Peter Pan is a spectacle of pirates, fairies, mermaids, Native Americans, and lost boys. Special guest artists will bring the main characters to life with Reinhard Von Rabenau from Minnesota Ballet as Peter Pan, Marshal Levin from Ballet Palm Beach as Captain Hook and many more. The also cast includes St. Lucie Ballet's very talented, and well trained dancers ages 3 through 18.

The audience is encouraged to come in costume for picture opportunity before the show.

The performances of The Nutcracker at the Sunrise Theatre are over, and it was an incredible run. The audiences truly enjoyed the production, and they showed it at final curtain!

Mr. and Mrs. Corrales are really proud of the commitment every dancer made. For months, they all worked very hard to put on their best performances.

A huge thank you everyone who helped make the magic happen! From the theatre crew, theatre staff, backstage volunteers including:
