St. Lucie Ballet opened in 2004. Through the years S.L.B. Has earned the reputation of excellence in training, coaching, and productions. Between the years of 2013 to 2017 S.L.B. Students have earned many scholarships and awards from several of the best ballet and dance competitions. S.L.B. Productions throughout the years have improved in quality and diversity. The Nutcracker has become a tradition at both the historical Sunrise Theatre in Fort Pierce and the Lyric in Stuart. In the spring S.L.B has presented many of the great ballet classics such as Don Quixote, Coppelia, or Sleeping Beauty and created original versions of Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan.
Lydia Oquendo and Rogelio Corrales are passionate about sharing their professional career experience with their students giving them the tools for, not only the real world of dance, but real life preparedness. Both have had many years of training and dance experience in various Ballet companies and productions. Skills and assets they impart to their students are focus, self discipline, memory, quickness in learning, confidence, self motivation, etiquette, experience with lots of stage time and performance opportunities.

We offer all levels in Ballet, Pre- Ballet, Ballet Fitness for Adults, Jazz, Jazz for Adults, Contemporary, Modern, Tap, Acro, Musical Theater, Ballroom for Adults, Pre-professional classical training, Competition, and Recreational Dance.
St. Lucie Ballet dancers have earned American Dance Competition ADC Medallion and Gold Award. Universal Ballet Competition UBC Medallion, High Gold, Gold, Youth America Grand Prix NYC Finals, and scholarship awards from Sarasota Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Next Gereration Ballet, Joffrey Academy Summer, The Rock School for Dance Education, Bolchoi Ballet NYC and many more. St. Lucie Ballet studio received 2017 UBC Outstanding Coaches Award, 2018 Shake the Ground Outstanding Professionalism Award.
